Preparing for a PMI or Calibration before your Service Technician arrives:
When calling a technician to service your equipment at your business, it is important to make the most of your service for the time they are onsite. The best way to make the most of your on-site service with a VIS technician is to prepare the equipment and service area before they arrive.
Here are some tips from our service team on how you can prepare for an on-site PMI or Calibration:
1. Clean the machine and area around it so the VIS technician has enough space to efficiently and safely inspect your VIS-Check and/or VIS-Polish equipment.
2. Make sure the machine is accessible for the VIS technician to safely calibrate or PMI your equipment.
3. Inform the technician of any known issues before they arrive as some parts might be required to fix any issues with your equipment.
4. Have the operator(s) of your VIS equipment on site when the VIS technician arrives to assist in identifying equipment performance issues.
5. If you're finding issues with specific wheel rim types and/or sizes, have these rims available for the technician to use while testing the equipment to assist in repair.
6. If you aren't having specific issues, still have different variations of wheel rim types and/or sizes for the technician to test run to assist in finding any issues with your equipment.
