Your VIS-Polish as the Temperature Dips!
During the winter months as the temperatures start to dip, your VIS-Polish machine will need a little extra care in your shop!
To make the most out of your machine in the winter season, keeping you VIS-Polish in a heated environment is extremely important. When temperatures start to cool down, it is vital your VIS-Polish equipment is stored in a heated environment at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures under 60 degrees will begin to cause problems with your machine including freezing drive motors.
But there is a way to avoid that by following these tips:
- Keep your equipment in a heated/environment— this will prevent drive motors from seizing up and freezing the lubricants that allow them to ventilate and circulate properly.
- Store rims in a clean, dry place where there is no snow or ice— If aluminum rims are too cold when put into your VIS-Polish machine, it can result in dull rims with little to no shine which can result in unhappy customers.
- Use black compound bars during the winter months.
